AESTM has no direct programs, but carries out its purpose and mission through the programs of its three divisions:
The FSTML Annual October Conference

Founded: 1981
Program: An annual 4-day October gathering of STM leadership from North American churches, agencies, colleges, and other STM-related entities. Each year’s 3-fold Conference focus centers around:
- worship/fellowship/prayer
- advanced level leadership training
- time to network/strategize/dream/relax/play.
The SOE
(U.S. Standards of Excellence in Short-Term Mission)Business Office: SOE, PO Box 123, Brownwood, TX 76804
Founded: 2001; officially launched October 2003
Program: A membership organization allowing formal adoption of Seven Standards of Excellence designed to help member sending entities pursue high standards, quality training resources, and peer support with accountability. The SOE strengthens STM practitioners with excellence in all STM efforts worldwide.
The NSTMC Annual January Conference

Founded: 1990; became a part of AESTM January 2004
Program: Trains and equips 300+ STM leaders every January during a 2-3 day weekend into the stream of cross-cultural mission via:
- practical essentials
- promoting discussion/insight/innovation
- providing inspiration for spiritual growth
